A new board is elected!
The international security organization, Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA International), elected a new Executive Board at the General Assembly in Toronto, Canada.

We are thankful for this opportunity to serve YATA and its members, while working diligently for transatlantic security and values of freedom and democracy. YATA International has national chapters in 36 countries.
Within the next few days, we will craft a tentative strategy for how we intend to give our young students and professionals new opportunities to become an active resource on security policy for our partners in ATA, NATO, EU, OSCE, UN and others.

It is a tremendous honour for me to write these words almost two years after I got elected. While we are nearing the end of this year’s Executive Board mandate, the second in a row that I had the pleasure to lead, allow me to say how grateful I am for your support and friendship during all the ups and downs faced throughout this journey.

YATA is a proud partner of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA). Their most recent Session took place in Tirana on 27-30 May. YATA Albania and YATA Kosovo were active as volunteers for the committee sessions, while YATA International was represented by the social media team. The aim of the project GLOBSEC Young Europeansʹ Forum is to give young professionals an opportunity to discuss current challenges in the EU while improving their policy-making skills and engaging in networking with their peers as well as senior policy makers. Young Europeansʹ Forum is organized on the side-lines of annual European conference GLOBSEC Tatra Summit that will take place on 28 – 30 October 2016 in Bratislava. It is an excellent opportunity for emerging young leaders, experts and professionals to confront their views on current European, foreign policy and security issues. Check out this link for more info.
