The Rīga Conference is one of the leading foreign and security policy forums in Northern Europe. It has become a unique venue for constructive dialogue on international security issues between leading global decision makers.
The Rīga Conference 2018 will be held on 28th and 29th September at the National Library of Latvia, in Riga and is expected to bring together over 700 participants from around the world.
This year, we are looking for approximately 70 volunteers to participate and gain international experience at the Rīga Conference 2018, working with the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation from 16th till 30th of September.
Whether you are interested in knowing more about international security and foreign policy, gaining experience in event management or simply enjoy lending a helping hand, we will be happy to welcome you in our volunteer team.
Volunteers’ duties and benefits
16.09.-25.09: Assistance needed for various tasks prior to the conference on certain days (not full time).
26.09.-30.09: Conference “The Rīga Conference 2018”. Work during and prior to the conference will involve welcoming guests, assisting with organising materials for the event, registration of onsite attendees, providing useful information to guests, logistical support, media and other technical assistance.
Volunteers will receive free access to conference sessions when not on duty and will also receive a certificate of appreciation.
If You are:
- fluent in English
- interested in foreign affairs, defence and security
- able to work responsibly under pressure and make decisions on your own
- able to perform well in a multicultural environment
- at least 17 years old
