YATA Slovenia

The Youth Section of the Euro-Atlantic Council of Slovenia was established in 1998 as an informal structure within the Council, to emphasise the needs and interests of youth in the field of Euro-Atlantic integrations. The goals of the Youth Section are: to increase the interest of youth in security issues, to study the internal and external aspects of the national security of the Republic of Slovenia, to support Slovenia’s interests of equal cooperation in maintaining and ensuring international security within international organizations, especially NATO and the EU, to promote the knowledge about NATO, EU, OSCE and their role in guaranteeing and keeping the peace and security in Europe.


Logo_BSAYS-1024x1020The most recognized event of Euro-Atlantic Council of Slovenia is Balkan SAYS – Security Architecture Youth Seminar, which is traditionally held in October in Slovenia.

The purpose of the seminar is to engage students and young professionals in the search for solutions to the security related challenges in the Western Balkans based on research and analysis through cooperation with international experts and colleagues.
